I am so excited to be teaching 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at HIS this year!

My classroom is all about learning and connection. I am so excited to have a year in which we can grow together. We will challenge each other, support each other, and build off of each other. Students are consistently encouraged to develop a growth mindset and driven to be the best that they can.

About the Teacher

I was a student in the Etiwanda School District for my entire K-8 education and can't wait to be a part of the amazing experiences the district offers.  My parents both teach in the district, and my sister teaches in Washington; education is the family calling.

I attended Macalester College for my undergraduate degree, where I majored in psychology and history with a minor in educational studies. Additionally, I have my Masters in Education from UCR. I love reading, baseball, and spending time with my family.

Awareness -   Students improve their understanding and consciousness of effective academic skills.

Respect – Students learn to have high regard for others and themselves.

Universal Access

Our primary focus will be to reinforce skills taught in Language Arts and provide opportunities for extension and acceleration in the curriculum.

This will be accomplished by working independently on personalized instruction in IXL, instruction in specified areas of class needs within the English/Language Arts content and collaborative learning and practice.
