Mrs. Nuckles (Caro)

Welcome Hawk Families to the 2021-2022 School Year!

My name is Mary Nuckles and I am thrilled to be a middle school teacher.  I received both my Bachelor's degree and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU San Bernardino. This is my third year working for the Etiwanda School District. Other than teaching, I enjoy gardening, cooking, exercising, reading, and gaming on the Nintendo Switch.

At Heritage Intermediate School, I teach 7th grade Math, Science, and Computer Science in room I-4.  Mr. Amarasekara and Ms. Morgan are my partner teachers this year and we team teach our students all four core subjects: Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.

In my classroom, students will utilize a variety of educational technologies to promote cooperative learning, engagement, and individual growth.

Our school provides all students with the supplies they need for instruction in class; however, if you would like your child to have their own items instead of sharing items with a group, you may consider purchasing highlighters, whiteboard markers, school-safe scissors, glue sticks, a calculator and colored pencils or markers.

Organization is key in middle school. Many parents and students also find it helpful to purchase folders and binders to organize paper materials for class. It is not necessary to purchase the additional items, but in the past, these items have been helpful for students in this grade level.

As a class, we tend to use a lot of Kleenex and white board markers. If you would like to donate Kleenex or white board markers, we would appreciate the extra support.

Please review all the subpages on my teacher website to stay informed and connected to my classroom. Thank you!
